My Amazon AMI is not booting my updated kernel by default.

Issue

• The newest installed kernel may not be the default after reboot for Amazon On Demand RHEL 5 AMIs.

Environment

• Amazon On Demand

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

Resolution

• Edit /boot/grub/grub.confto select the appropriate kernel and then reboot.
