After installing JBoss EPP 5.1 and Site Publisher, only root can see the top bar

I have installed JBoss EPP 5.1 plus Site Publisher. Next, I created a new user. But when I login to /ecmdemo as the new user, there is no toolbar. Why?

I have installed JBoss EPP 5.1 plus Site Publisher, but only the Site Publisher extension.war, not the Site Publisher demo portal. When I log in as an user distinct of 'root' (i.e john or demo) clicking the links of homepage portlet, the url changes to private mode (portal/private/classic) and there isn't any way to logout or change the user (the edit-mode bar doesn't appears). This does not happen if I do not deploy the wcm ear file. The question is: why does this happen, and how can we get around this problem?
