Red Hat Training

A Red Hat training course is available for Red Hat Ceph Storage

Chapter 4. Upgrading Your Administration Server

Periodically, Red Hat will provide updated packages for Ceph Storage. You may get the latest version of ice_setup and upgrade your administration server with the latest packages. To upgrade your administration server, perform the following steps:

  1. Using sudo, update your Calamari admin node to the latest version of ice_setup. (You will need at least version 0.3.0.)

    sudo yum update ice_setup
  2. Using sudo, run ice_setup with the update all sub-command. ice_setup will synchronize the new packages from the Red Hat CDN onto the local repository on your Calamari admin node.

    sudo ice_setup update all
  3. The updated packages will now be available to the nodes in your cluster with yum update.

    sudo yum update

If the updates contain new packages for your Ceph Storage Cluster, you should upgrade your cluster too. See Storage Cluster Upgrade for details.
