discrepancy in current running kernel and default-kernel

Posted on

i have changed default-kernel and it is updated all over and showing the same in defualt-kernel query then why system is booting with differnt kernel version which is showing in "uname -r " .
i want system to be boot as same as version of default-version.
kindly suggest

*Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.0 (Ootpa)
*uname -r = 4.18.0-553.16.1.el8_10.x86_64
*sudo grubby --default-kernel = /boot/vmlinuz-4.18.0-193.1.2.el8_2.x86_64

*sudo grubby --default-index = 2

*sudo grub2-editenv /boot/grub2/grubenv list|grep entry =saved_entry=2

note: system is already rebooted still booting with diff ver of kernel than default ver .
