Document Scanning

Hello all, I just wanted to get some community thoughts on document scanning. Currently I have a Ricoh fi-8170 compact scanner (all that was available for testing) and am trying to get it to work on a RHEL 8 instance. It is heavily stig'd as its a replica for unclass testing. If anyone has had success, in any case, of data transfers using any type of document scanner, I would love to hear about it.
