Cockpit OS Composer fails with error "Cannot download repomd.xml"

Posted

Hi all,

I am new to RHEL/ Red Hat in general and am attempting to use an 8.6 install attached to my organization's Internal Satellite Server with Cockpit and cockpit-composer installed to create a custom os image. When I click "create" I get the following Error:

DNF error occurred: RepoError: There was a problem reading a repository: Failed to download metadata for repo '5971e4dba29339487029082bfad55713ec74947e0a1c67fca36d6a4296fb236f' [baseos: https://cdn.redhat.com/content/dist/rhel8/8.6/x86_64/baseos/os]: Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried

I've Tried:
* https://access.redhat.com/solutions/6965691 - This release file isn't present
* https://access.redhat.com/discussions/6395761 - Disabling the repo (I assume rhel-8-for-x86_64-baseos-rpms)
* Resetting DNF by clearing /var/cache/dnf, running dnf clean all, and then dnf upgrading, this didn't solve the problem.
* What's weird is there isn't a repo called ''5971e4dba29339487029082bfad55713ec74947e0a1c67fca36d6a4296fb236f' when I run subscription-manager repos --list and I would imagine having cleared out dnf would take care of this.

I'm starting to wonder if there's a problem with the content view for org/activation key I'm using but I'm not sure how I would go about investigating that.

Could anyone please advise?
