About renewing my developer subscription for individuals

Hello everyone. I just renewed my developer subscription for individuals, a month before it would expire. In the customer portal, I see both the old and the new subscriptions. Should I delete the old one or keep it till it expires next month? Also, is there anything I have to do when I log in to my laptop, for instance running any terminal commands? Thanks in advance.
