Setting persistent resolution in RHEL 8/9

Hello,

I have installed both RHEL 8/9 in VMware Workstation Pro. I have followed the instructions here for setting the Resolution persistency:

Unfortunately, this is not working anymore. When I reboot, it is resetting to the default resolution.
