  • USB Webcam thru VNC connection

    Posted on

I've setup a Linux computer with a VNC connection. I'm trying to figure out a way to be able to view a USB webcam (connected to the Linux) thru a VNC connection from a Windows computer. I'm using the default camera app, Cheese. However I am unable to view content over a VNC connection. Of course, locally on the computer I am able to view the webcam.

Is this possible? I've searched but haven't found an ideal solution to this.

What's recommended to share/view a USB webcam connection remotely from a Linux to a Windows PC?
