Red Hat Insights Agent Proxy through Statellite

Running Satellite 6.10 and looking to use Red Hat Insights on the attached hosts. Using this as a guide https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_satellite/6.10/html/managing_hosts/monitoring_hosts I am wondering the following:
Q: do the hosts with the insights client installed need to speak directly to the cloud insights services or can the proxy this through Satellite or is it the case that the hosts always speak directly to the cloud services and then Satellite pulls this information?
