unknown error occurred during install

I boot the RedHat Virtualization host 4.4.7 or 4.4.8 ISO. When I enable network and login for registering the subscription, the installer takes quite a few minutes after which it throws an unknown error. The log has a few warnings near the end from subscription manager, no errors, or anything useful.

When I upload the 2 ISOs to a rhv server and boot a vm, I get the same thing.

When I go to a console during the installation and use subscription-manager command, I can register within seconds and it works fine.

Other ISOs, RHEL 8.3 or 8.4 simply work. Its the latest RHV iso's that I wont work.

Has anyone else noticed this or perhaps have a workaround?

PS. for each version 4.4.6, 4.4.7, 4.4.8 there are multiple downloads called batch# , async, and one called batch# async.

What are these and what is the difference?
