How to monitor the progress of the preupg scan process

I have a need to upgrade our RHEL6 machine to RHEL7. I have done it in our test environment. But as I am preparing the production server, it is hanging on a specific check (Binaries to be rebuilt).

I have excluded a major external mount point, but it still won't complete, and the 'check' process runs at a fairly high priority.

Is there a way to know where the check is in terms of its work process? Can I know what directory it is working on at any particular time?
