Session getting expired when both Jboss nodes are on

We have two JBCS nodes connecting to two backend Jboss nodes running on EAP 7.1. We are using mod_proxy/JsessionID for session replication.
When both the Jboss nodes are running the application ius giving session expired message and sometimes the data is not being pulled. Checked and found there are no issues with database connectivity.
The issue is getting resolved with one Jboss node running.

Any clues?
