Linux Developer Suite VS No-Cost Linux Developer Suite

Latest response

What is the difference between the $99 Linux Developer Suite subscription and the No-Cost option?

As far as I know, they both only cover 1 machine.

Hi Ted,

The main difference is the license here, the no-cost edition does not allow to be used for production, where the paid one does.
This means that the free no-cost developer subscription allows to use the system for development and testing purposes only !
With the no-cost subscription you can install the system on one physical machine and on up to 15 additional virtual machines. :)

Is anything else different? My main concern is if the $99 subscription includes more products, components, etc.

Hi Ted,

The free no-cost developer subscription provides the full "server super-set" of RHEL.
As far as I know the paid version doesn't provide more products than the free version.
To be 100 % sure, I suggest that you contact the Red Hat Sales team in your region. :)
