Loosing vm connectivity after virsh destroy/start default

Hi
I'm using kvm on RHEL 7.5 My VM's loose network connectivity when I do "virsh net-destroy default" and then "virsh net-start default".
Only when I reboot the kvm server network connectivity is restored to my VM's.
Is this a bug?
Can I avoid having to reboot the kvm server?
