slowness for video class rooms
I am experiencing slowness in whatever video classroom I chose to watch. I have enough bandwidth, however, I see the videos are not utilizing the full bandwidth and suffer low resolutions and lots of delays. I am posting here before I raise it as a trouble ticket to check if others experience is the same
Update: I have opened a case CASE 02112535 as no matter what environment i tested the videos are annoying breaking almost all the time. not smooth no matter what resolution I chose.

Yeah I'm facing the same from time to time, It seems like an issue with buffering (could be by design), as when I use the quick rewind button it starts rebuffering all over instead of using data from my cache. Maybe it is trying to get the video chunks using one connection instead of opening multiple simultaneous ones to increase speed.
I had the same. One thing that did help for me was to never select auto resolution. I usually have zero problems with 360p and so keep most of the videos at that resolution. I can sometimes get 720p to work, but sometimes not.
Its always stuck or buffering and even if it plays then its blurred image in which i cant read any text. I have got reasonably good broadband connection and I don't similar issues with other vendor online training. I find it very difficult to focus.
Agreed with all the comments the videos are slow when I use HD or even lower resolutions. I have 20MB/s Download and 10MB/s Upload speed but still slow but as compare to other video sites they will run good on 1Mb/s speed.
If possible please work on this, It helps allot to cover more courses in 1 Year.

Please, for everyone who has not already submitted a case for this, please submit a case. This is a supported product, and if you're having this, and if it's systemic, they need to know from multiple customers. I'm hoping they've made progress on this by now, but if not, submit a case. I too am a customer of this, and not an employee of Red Hat.

Good luck with that. Responses I've received from emailing learning when this issue first happened or opening a ticket (when video classrooms went down for 2 days) have rarely been helpful.
I'll ping a Red-Hatter I know regarding this discussion. (added) yet I'll mention for those of you who have not already done so |so grep -v 'David Mahoney' && please submit a ticket (for those who have not, unlike Dave) -- for those who have not already submitted a case. Perhaps the number of items in their ticket queue will help.
I sent the email to the Red-Hatter I know on this.

RJ
