Error 404 with yum update after STIG mode
I've got a RHEl 7.4 system that I installed with the included STIG option. Right after install I register it and attach a subscription. Then I try a yum update and I get a 404 error on both repos.
How do I get this system to actually update when configured with the included STIG setup?
Responses
Couple possibilities: STIG mode limits the number of cryptographic modes that are supported; STIG mode mandates that the actual repositories be signed. It sounds like you enabled STIG-mode after having previously pulled data from repositories - it's possible your yum subsystem has cached signatures that are no longer supported. Might try doing a yum clean all and see if that clears things out enough for things to work properly.
Note: this is a guess - all the systems I run are STIG-enabled from their first moment of existence and have no problems working with yum repos. So, while I know STIGed RHEL 6 and 7 systems have no issues working with their respective repositories, I don't specifically know why _yours don't.
