Is there an option to set release within a RHEL7.4 docker container

Hi, is there a way to set release with RHEL7.4 docker container running on a RHEL7.4 host.
Earlier in a non-RHEL7.4 host, subscription-manager release --set= used to work but a RHEL7.4 container running on a RHEL7.4 host doesn't allow to use subscription-manager.And it seems yum-config-manager doesn't provide that option.

Whats the best way to achieve that?
