While doing host-engine deployment manually created bond is not taking for creating bridge

Latest response

Hi,
My requirement is I should create bonds before start deploying hosted-engine setup. So I created bonds (eth0, fabric0 & ovirtmgmt0) then I started self-hosted deployment using "hosted-engine --deploy" command. While creating bridge on interfaces it displayed my bond name also(ovirtmgmt0), So I selected to create bridge on top of this bond. But it failed saying "ERROR u'ovirtmgmt0' is not a valid bonding device name".

Any body any time faced this kind of issue?

I am attaching all relevant log files and sos report also here

Please help us!!!

Hello,

It looks like rhev is quite picky with bond names, only 'bondX' is allowed. Can you try changing the bond name to this format and see if this helps?

RFE has already been raised, please see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1403653
