Setting up Test OpenStack Platform

Hi,
I am trying out RHEL 7.1 with OSP 8. I have successfully deployed OSP in a VM in 1 server. I have a test application to be deployed in another server (say server 2).

1.) Should I install RHEL Virtualization platform prior to deploy such application through OSP. ?
2.) Can I use storage attached to server 1 or server 2 as storage for the test environment and access them through Glance?

I would appreciate any advice as well as documents on this objective.
