How do I install and boot Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 on the Promise Ultra TX2000 Lite Controller?

Please follow the steps below:

Boot the system using Red Hat Enterprise Linux installation cd.

At the boot: prompt type the following:


 expert ide0=0x1f0,0x3f6 ide1=0x170,0x376 ide2=0x1400,0x140a ide3=0x1410,0x140e

Continue with the Red Hat installation as normal.
At the Boot Loader Configuration Menu type the following the kernel parameters field:

 ide0=0x1f0,0x3f6 ide1=0x170,0x376 ide2=0x1400,0x140a ide3=0x1410,0x140e
 
```
Note: These values will be appended to the correct line in lilo.conf or grub.conf.
