SRE Access and Management Framework

Overview

This article describes the SRE access architecture, policies, and procedures for Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform on Microsoft Azure.

Reference Architecture

Ansible Automation Platform on Azure is an Azure managed application that deploys into your Azure tenant and is billed to your subscription. As the publisher of the application, Red Hat (SRE Team) has access to a shared and secured managed resource group to perform management operations on both the managed application infrastructure and the software that runs on the infrastructure.

The following diagram outlines the SRE access and management architecture.

The managed application resource group is completely separate from the other resource groups in your tenant. Red Hat only has access to the managed application resource group and AKS’s node pool resource group, with no visibility into other tenant resource groups or resources.

The Red Hat SRE team handles all the ongoing management (support, maintenance, and upgrade of your deployment) of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform on Azure, while you focus on expanding your automation strategy within your organization across the hybrid cloud.
