Certification notes for the HP ProLiant DL980 G7

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

After joint testing by Red Hat and HP, the HP ProLiant DL980 G7 has been certified and is fully supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5 (or later) with up to 160 logical processors and 1TB of memory when configured with Intel Xeon® E7-series processors (codenamed "Westmere-EX").

Note that the Xen Hypervisor has different configuration limits than the bare metal kernel. Please refer to this article for additional details.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

The HP ProLiant DL980 G7 has been certified and is fully supported on  Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.1 with up to 160 logical processors when  configured with Intel Xeon E7-series CPUs, and up to 4TB of memory. Red  Hat Enterprise Linux 6.1 is the minimum required version for this  configuration.

The DL980 G7 has previously been certified on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 up to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux system limits.

we have HP ProLiant DL580 G7 installed with RHEL 5.4 , 64 bit , intermittently system reboot itself , we opened case with gss ,prior to reboot it as hanging once a week later we enabled kdump & now rebooting , we do not know why? how to resolve ?
