Changing the options in KControl's "System Administration/"Login Manager" in kcontrol have no effect on kdmrc.

The version of the KDE Login manager (kdm) that ships with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 has been improved to take advantage of theme capabilities similar to those in the Gnome display manager "gdm".
