Issue

Intel Coffee Lake Systems may emit the following when running the GA releases listed in the environment section.

Warning: Intel Processor - this hardware has not undergone testing by Red Hat and might not be certified. Please consult https://hardware.redhat.com for certified hardware

Resolution

Intel Coffee Lake systems are supported for running the following and later releases, the warning can be ignored.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Update 6 GA
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 GA

The check that emits the warning was not updated in time for GA and has been updated in the following errata.
