Configuring hostPath storage for Elasticsearch on OpenShift v3.10

It is possible to use a local disk volume (if available) on each node host as storage for an Elasticsearch replica. Doing so requires some preparation as follows.

  1. Create a local mount point on each infra node for the local elasticsearch storage:

    mkdir /usr/local/es-storage
    
  2. Create a filesystem on the elasticsearch volume:
