Partitioning disks with parted

The parted command lets you create disk partition tables and divide those tables into partition. In particular, parted lets you work with Globally Unique Identifiers Partition Tables (GPT), which allow partitioning of much larger disks with many more partitions than are allowed on traditional msdos partition tables.
