Introduction

This policy guide describes general requirements, limitations, and conditions for RHEL Resilient Storage components deployed on IBM z Systems. Users of RHEL Resilient Storage technologies should adhere to these policies in order to be eligible for support from Red Hat with the appropriate product support subscriptions.

Policies

General support policies for High Availability apply: With Resilient Storage being a set of components that operate on top of a High Availability cluster, the support policies that apply to High Availability are applicable in Resilient Storage clusters as well - including in the area of IBM z Systems polices.


DASD and Fiber-Channel Storage Support: Red Hat supports RHEL Resilient Storage components on IBM z Systems when interacting with DASD shared devices using 4k block size, as well as on Fiber-Channel attached storage.
