How do you configure an FTP server in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4?

This example assumes the system is registered in the Red Hat Network.

  1. To set up an FTP server, make sure the vsftpd package is installed by issuing the following command as root:

    
     rpm -q vsftpd
     
    
  2. Install the FTP server rpm from the Red Hat Network by running the following command:
