I have an NFS mounted partition in /etc/fstab that shows up on the KDE desktop as a remote share. I do not want the NFS mounts to be displayed on the desktop.

Resolution:

  • Right-click on the desktop, and pick "Configure Desktop..."

  • In the left-hand pane, click "Behavior"

  • Click the "Device Icons" tab

  • Uncheck "Mounted NFS Share"
