Migrating from MySQL 5.6 to MySQL 5.7 Software Collections (RHEL6 and RHEL7)

MySQL 5.6 has been available for RHEL6 and RHEL7 as a Software Collection since Red Hat Software Collections (RHSCL) 2.0. Since RHSCL 2.3, MySQL 5.7 has been made available as the rh-mysql57 Software Collection for RHEL6 and RHEL7. This article describes how to upgrade from MySQL 5.6 to MySQL 5.7.
