Can I create a swap partition that is larger than 2 GB?
Updated -
The limit of 2 GB per swap partition exists in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 (and above) can handle swap partitions larger than 2 GB. Previously, it was required to create multipule 2gig partitions to have more than 2 gigs of swap. This is no longer the case, although, under some conditions, it may improve preformance.
