How do I restore the SysV services symlinks under the /etc/rc.d/rcX.d directories?

If the SysV symbolic links under the /etc/rc.d/rcX.d subdirs are misconfigured/deleted, it's possible to restore/recreate them to their default values using the chkconfig command with the reset option.
