Red Hat Cloud Suite for Applications helps solve these challenges by providing both Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) for massive scalability and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for faster application delivery, combined with a unified management framework that supports hybrid deployment models. As the industry’s first fully open source, integrated IaaS and PaaS solution, Red Hat Cloud Suite for Applications enables customers to avoid cloud silos and empowers them to select their service model of choice to best meet changing business requirements.

The focus of this reference architecture is to demonstrate deploying Red Hat Cloud Suite technologies in an on-premise, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (Iaas) environment along with integrating Red Hat OpenShift Enterprise providing Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) capabilities targeting the following detailed use cases:
- Configure Satellite 6 to support deployment of Red Hat Cloud Suite components
- Deploy a self-hosted RHEV environment from Satellite 6
- Deploy a RHEL OSP environment from Satellite 6
- Deploy OpenShift Enterprise in a private PaaS environment using OpenShift Origin puppet modules
- Deploy CloudForms and demonstrate discovery and management
