Is cpuscaling supported on the HP ProLiant m700 Server Cartridge?

Issue:

On demand cpuscaling during compute-intensive processing is currently not functioning in RHEL7 on the HP ProLiant m700 Server Cartridge. This is a known bug, and Red Hat is targetting a future release of RHEL7 for a fix.

Environment:

RHEL7
HP ProLiant m700 Server Cartridge

Resolution:

For the time being, only 'performance' mode cpuscaling is possible on these systems. A fix for ondemand cpuscaling will be provided in a later version of RHEL7.

Work Around:

In order to enable performance mode cpuscaling, first install the cpupowerutils package with the instructions at the following knowledge base article.

Then run the following command:

cpupower frequency-set -g performance

To set the cpuscaling mode to performance on a permananet basis, use the instructions available in the RHEL7 Power Management guide and the following knowledgebase article:
