SAS 6/iR adapter support status for Dell systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

Issue:

The SAS 6/iR adapter has reached its end of life and as such Dell does not sell or support SAS 6/iR adapters for use with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. This adapter were originally sold as an option for Dell's 11G line of servers. SAS 6/iR adapters installed in existing systems will need to be replaced with a supported adapter in order to run RHEL 7 in a supported manner.

Dell offers a variety of other adapter options that can be substituted to provide the same functionality as the SAS 6/iR adapter. Please contact Dell to discuss those options.
