On October 31, 2022, Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure for Virtualization enters the Maintenance Support Phase

As noted in the published Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure for Virtualization Lifecycle page, on October 31, 2022, Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure for Virtualization enters the Maintenance Support Phase of its lifecycle. The Maintenance Support Phase runs until October 31, 2024. After that date, the product will be End of Life.

During the Maintenance Support Phase Red Hat will provide ongoing technical support, security fixes (in accordance with Red Hat policy), and select high-priority bug fixes at Red Hat’s discretion. No new features are planned for the Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure for Virtualization product from this point onward.

Moving forward

One option that some current RHHI-V customers are exploring as part of their broader IT Ops modernization planning is evolving over time from the current platform to small-footprint OCP Virtualization compact cluster configs with integrated ODF storage.
