New worker nodes stuck in Provisioning state while scaling machine sets in RHOCP 4

Issue

  • While scaling up the worker nodes using the MachineSet, the new worker nodes are stuck in the Provisioning state with below error in machine-controller:

    {"overLimit": {"code": 413, "message": "VolumeLimitExceeded: Maximum number of volumes allowed (40) exceeded for quota 'volumes'.", "retryAfter": "0"}}
