Syncing Red Hat Repository Results In 'Parsing interrupted' 'duplicate PKGIDs' Error.

Issue

  • When attempting to sync the "Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 for x86_64 - AppStream RPMs 9" repository (i.e. rhel-9-for-x86_64-appstream-rpms) from Red Hat's content delivery network (CDN) to the satellite, this error is received:

    Parsing interrupted: The repository metadata being synced into Pulp is erroneous in a way that makes it ambiguous (duplicate PKGIDs), and therefore we do not allow it to be synced in 'mirror_complete' mode. Please choose a sync policy which does not mirror repository metadata.
