Ceph - RGW process/container fails to start after deploying Object Gateway

Issue

After deploying Ceph Object Gateway RGW container (or service for non-containerized deployments) is missing.
When checking with podman ps -a there is no RGW container in the list. RGW is also not listed under services section in ceph status output.

$ podman ps -a | grep ceph

The below error can be found in the system messages log:
