EDS TRIM function rewrites in the Transformation Editor and becomes invalid query

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We noticed that TRIM ( LEADING .... FROM .... ) function in the transformation editor removes the LEADING string etc while validating in the transformation editor.
select trim ( leading '+' from '++++Test') trim_col1

becomes below after being saved:

SELECT Trim(leading FROM ) AS trim_col1

and gives a parsing error:

ERROR: Parsing error: Encountered ")" at line 2, column 36.
Was expecting one of:
    "exists" ...
    "has" ...
    "not" ...
    "translate" ...
    "?" ...
    <POS_REF> ...
    <STRINGVAL> ...
    <INTEGERVAL> ...
    <FLOATVAL> ...
    "false" ...
    ...
