Sending a signal to a thread which has no signal handler causes Perl to segfault.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When sending a signal to a thread that has no defined signal handler, the perl interpreter segfaults in threads.so
  • However, if a handler is defined for other signals that you send later, it will not segfault.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0
  • perl-5.10.1-115.el6
