Not able to install a package on a host registered with Satellite 6.

Issue

  • Not able to install a package on the host that is registered to Red Hat Satellite 6 due to duplicate package dependency :
audit-libs-2.8.1-3.el7_5.1.x86_64 is a duplicate with audit-libs-2.7.6-3.el7.x86_64 glibc-2.17-222.el7.x86_64 is a duplicate with glibc-2.17-196.el7.x86_64 glibc-common-2.17-222.el7.x86_64 is a duplicate with glibc-common-2.17-196.el7.x86_64 kmod-20-21.el7.x86_64 is a duplicate with kmod-20-15.el7.x86_64 libcom_err-1.42.9-12.el7_5.x86_64 is a duplicate with libcom_err-1.42.9-10.el7.x86_64 libselinux-2.5-12.el7.x86_64 is a duplicate with libselinux-2.5-11.el7.x86_64 libselinux-devel-2.5-11.el7.x86_64 has missing requires of pkgconfig(libpcre) libsepol-2.5-10.el7.x86_64 is a duplicate with libsepol-2.5-6.el7.x86_64 libuuid-2.23.2-52.el7_5.1.x86_64 is a duplicate with libuuid-2.23.2-43.el7.x86_64 sos-3.6-11.el7_6.noarch has missing requires of python2-futures
  • Not able to clean the duplicate packages from the below command as well :
# package-cleanup --cleandupes
