Unable to delete a heat stack with lbaasv1 resources after upgrading from OSP8/9 ( with LBAAS v1) to OSP 10 (with LBaaS v2)

Issue

  • Issue while deleting heat stacks , consisting of LBaaS v1 resources that were created in OSP8/9 environment after upgrading to OSP10 LBaaS v2.

  • Stack Created before OSP Upgrade :-

    [stack@director]$ openstack stack list

  • Error received if tried to delete the Heat Stack after OSP Upgrade:-

    [stack@director]$ openstack stack delete lbstack2

    [stack@director]$ openstack stack resource list lbstack2
ERROR: HEAT-E99001 Service neutron is not available for resource type OS::Neutron::HealthMonitor, reason: Required extension lbaas in neutron service is not available.

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenStack Platform Version 10.0
  • LBaaS v1 before upgrade.
  • LBaaS v2 after upgrade.
