Deploying new application from private docker registry causes x509: certificate signed by unknown authority

Issue

  • I use docker registry.

  • When I run oc create -f imagestream.json or oc new-app $DOCKERFILE_DIR —strategy=docker, I get following error.

Jul 22 23:35:02 master.example.com openshift-master[9953]: E0722 23:35:02.596324    9953 factory.go:51] error getting X-Docker-Token from openshift3/ruby-20-rhel7: Get https://foo.bar.registry.example.com:5000/v1/repositories/openshift3/ruby-20-rhel7/images: x509: certificate signed by unknown authority
  • I passed --insecure-registry to oc new-app, but it still get error.

Environment

  • OpenShift Enterprise
    • v3.0.x
