Unable to login with podman to Red Hat Quay after the upgrade

Issue

  • After upgrading Quay from 3.7 to 3.10, podman pull works from time to time:

    $ podman pull registry.example.com/project-name/image-name
Trying to pull registry.example.com/project-name/image-name...
Error: initializing source docker://registry.example.com/project-name/image-name: reading manifest sha256:f75909fa874d2937b5a39d6e20d6d87dcb74f2f3f52a2a5c6f7994c318b0419c in registry.example.com/project-name/image-name: authentication required
