virt-who configuration for Nutanix AHV fails with HTTP Auth Failed error with response code 401

Issue

  • Unable to configure virt-who service in Nutanix AHV.
  • virt-who configuration for AHV fails with HTTP Auth Failed error.
  • virt-who throwing 401 error as below:

    [virtwho.main DEBUG] MainProcess(608399):Thread-2 @ahv.py:prepare:63 - Logging into Acropolis server https://x.x.x.x:<port>/api/nutanix/v2.0
    [virtwho.main ERROR] MainProcess(608399):Thread-2 @virt.py:run:416 - Thread 'ahv' fails with error: HTTP Auth Failed get https://x.x.x.x:<port>/api/nutanix/v2.0/clusters.
