ldapsearch through an AD trust

Hello all,

Has anyone achieved the following type of ldapsearch query?

Linux server is connecting to AD server in group-forest.example.com

AD server in group-forest.example.com has a trust to user-forest.example.com

Now we want to do a couple of queries:

1) Does an user exist in user-forest.example.com
2) Is an user in user-forest.example.com member of a group in group-forest.example.com

Both queries can either be performed with an user of user-forest.example.com (nice to have) or an user of group-forest.example.com (need to have).
