Is the Infiniband Storage functionality of the Hewlett Packard QLogic IB 4X QDR PCI-e G2 Dual-port HCA on my server supported?

Updated -

Issue:

When the Hewlett Packard QLogic IB 4X QDR PCI-e G2 Dual-port HCA was initially launched in 2010, there was no support in RHEL6.0 for Infiniband Storage functionality of this device. Only the Infiniband Network functionality of this card was tested during certification of HP server systems that offered this component. As a result, the Infinband Storage functionality was not certified and may or may not work as designed with later versions of RHEL6.

Environment:

RHEL6
Hewlett Packard QLogic IB 4X QDR PCI-e G2 Dual-port HCA

Resolution:

The driver for Infiniband Storage functionality for this device is now currently present in RHEL6, and neither Red Hat nor Hewlett Packard suspect any issues at the time of the writing of this article. However, if any issues do arise when using the IB Storage functionality of this device, they will have to be treated as new bugs. If a bug is encountered or suspected please contact your Hewlett Packard or Red Hat support representative for assistance.
