How to add a password policy "exemption" for users of a group

I want to create a group that I can put application/system user accounts in that don't get effected by password policies (e.g. password expiry, lockout, etc...)

I found this article: https://access.redhat.com/solutions/1986733 which talks about modifying the /etc/pam.d/system-auth file.

The system I'm working on the /etc/pam.d/system-auth file has been configured by authselect and it states # Do not modify this file manually.

Is there away this can be achived?
